What happens to your details

Short, because there is not much to say. If you would not want it written down plainly, it should not be happening.

What is collected

Only what you type into a form on this site: your name, email address, business name if you give one, the multiple-choice answers, and whatever you write in the free text box. The scorecard itself collects nothing until you choose to send the report to yourself.

Why

To send you the report you asked for, to reply to you, and to work out whether what I do is any use to you. Your answers decide how quickly you hear back and what I say when I do.

The legal basis

Legitimate interest. You asked a business a question about its services and I am answering it. You can object at any time and I will stop and delete what I hold. Filling in a form does not put you on a mailing list. Marketing email is consent only, and you would have to tick a box for it.

Where it goes

Into Klaviyo, which handles the email, and into a database run by Cloudflare. Both are processors acting on my instructions. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone else.

Klaviyo stores all of its data on servers in the United States, so your details leave the UK. That transfer relies on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which Klaviyo is certified under, with standard contractual clauses behind it. Cloudflare serves this site from a global network. If you would rather nothing of yours left the UK, email me directly instead of using a form and it stays in email.

How long

Two years from your last contact, then deleted. Ask sooner and it goes sooner.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email [email protected] and it will be done within a month, usually the same week. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe. If you are unhappy with how it is handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This site sets none of its own. If analytics is added later, this page will say so before it goes in.
